Sutton Foster, who received a Tony nomination for her performance as Jo March, will host the 7 PM evening, which will also feature the talents of Jenny Powers (Meg March) and Amy McAlexander (Amy) as well as Little Women standbys Anne Kanengeiser, Larissa Shukis, Andrew Varela and Jim Stanek. Jason Howland, the composer of the Little Women score, will also take part in the evening. Produced by composer Scott Alan, the concert will feature musical direction by Barbara Anselmni. Cabaretgoers can expect to hear classic musical theatre tunes as well as works by up-n-coming composers, who will accompany the singers on piano.
The series, created to spotlight lesser-known talents working in the city, will continue with two other celebrations of this season's new musicals: On July 25 Cheyenne Jackson will host an evening featuring members of the All Shook Up cast, and on Aug. 19 Sara Gettelfinger will welcome members of the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels company.
