News Little Women's McGinnis Will Host Sept. 29 New Voices Concert Megan McGinnis, who created the role of Beth in Broadway's Little Women, will host the Sept. 29 Monday Nights, New Voices concert at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

The evening will celebrate the work of composer-lyricist Adam Gwon, who will accompany the performers on piano. Among those currently scheduled to perform are Demi Fragale, Jake Glassman and Molly Hager. Show time is 7 PM.

Barbara Anselmi will be the evening's musical director.

The New Voices series was founded by composer Scott Alan to "showcase some of today's brightest new talent in New York." Alan's debut recording, "Dreaming Wide Awake" — which features performances by Liz Callaway, Stephanie J. Block, Eden Espinosa, Cheyenne Jackson and Jonathan Groff, among others — is available by visiting www.scottalan.net.

Adam Gwon is the composer/lyricist of Ordinary Days, Bernice Bobs Her Hair (with librettist Julia Jordan), Ethan Frome (with book writer Michael Ruby) and Lulu.

Megan McGinnis played Beth in Little Women and has also been seen on Broadway in Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Parade and The Diary of Anne Frank.
