News Liz Callaway, Joshua Henry, Howard McGillin, Julia Murney, Kate Baldwin, Heidi Blickenstaff Set for Broadway Close Up Season The fall 2014 season of the Broadway Close Up series, which takes theatre lovers behind the scenes of musicals old and new, will kick off Oct. 6 at the Merkin Concert Hall with Bound for Broadway.

Tony nominee Liz Callaway will once again host the evening, which begins at 6:30 PM. The concert will feature songs and stories from Tuck Everlasting, Ever After, Date of a Lifetime, When We Met and a fifth musical to be announced.

The work of multiple Tony winner Jason Robert Brown will be explored Oct. 27 at 7:30 PM. Sean Hartley will host the evening, which will feature Brown discussing his past and upcoming projects.

Hallelujah, Broadway! is the title of the Nov. 17 concert, which will also be hosted by Hartley and is described as a "light-hearted celebration of Heaven, God and the eternal questions as framed by the great writers of Broadway." Attendees can expect to hear Tony nominees Joshua Henry and Barbara Walsh and more singing the work of Cole Porter, Frank Loesser, Kurt Weill, George and Ira Gershwin, Stephen Schwartz, Rodgers & Hammerstein and Bock & Harnick. Show time is 7:30 PM.

I’ve Heard That Song Before! The Songs of Jule Styne will be offered Dec. 8 and Dec. 10 at 7:30 PM. Musical director-arranger David Loud will host the evening, which spotlights the composer of Gypsy, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Peter Pan, Bells Are Ringing and Funny Girl. Performers are scheduled to include Tony nominee Howard McGillin, Julia Murney, Matthew Scott, Tony nominee Kate Baldwin and Heidi Blickenstaff.
