Tony nominee Liz Callaway will star in TheatreSquared's upcoming production of Duncan Macmillan's Every Brilliant Thing. Performances are scheduled for January 16–February 10, 2019, at the Arkansas venue.
Every Brilliant Thing is an immersive experience, and the creative team will transform T2’s theatre space into an in-the-round, intimate setup.
“I love this play,” said Callaway in a statement. “From ‘people falling over’—number 7—to ‘cycling downhill’—number 997—it’s about recognizing how small, ordinary things can add up to something extraordinary, if you’ll just let them. When I traveled here for TheatreSquared’s gala last year, I really fell for Northwest Arkansas. This play will be a wonderful reunion.”
Olivier Award nominee Macmillan’s play, critically acclaimed in London, Edinburgh, and New York, was directed Off-Broadway by George Perrin. Jonny Donahoe starred in the solo show, which was filmed at the Barrow Street in 2015 for HBO.
The play follows two siblings separated by distance and circumstance, who unite to share their mother's favorite recipe.
The Tony winner's solo comedy, which played three nights only at Audible's Minetta Lane Theatre earlier this year, has returned to the venue for three weeks.
Paul Oakley Stovall and Tom Mullen bring a version of Frankenstein screen director James Whale's life to the stage that puts more focus on race.
Diyan Zora is directing the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Sanaz Toossi.
The production is the inaugural play at the new Stage Door Theatre in Drury Lane.
The adaptation is one of more than 1,500 productions announced by the Edinburgh Fringe today.
The evening performance of the Tony nominated musical will not go on as planned.
