Of course, special guests were on hand for the opening-night celebration. Academy Award winner Liza Minnelli was able to catch the April 24 performance of the play, which stars Nina Arianda as Billie Dawn, Robert Sean Leonard as Paul and Jim Belushi as Harry Brock. After the show, Minnelli simply could not walk away without sharing her thoughts of Arianda's performance, one that recently earned a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Play.

Born Yesterday, according to press notes, is the "timely story of a not-so-honest businessman and a not-so-dumb blonde out to 'capitalize' on everything Washington has to offer."
