Fans of Liza Minnelli eager to bid on some of her belongings from the course of her remarkable life will get a sneak peek at some of the 1,000 lots that will be auctioned. Love, Liza: The Exhibit will be on display at the Paley Center in Beverley Hills April 4–29.
The exhibit will include some of the highlights from the upcoming auction in late May.
In a statement, Minnelli said, “Throughout my long career I have collected wonderful possessions and memorabilia, and now I’ve reached a point in my life where I want to simplify and share with my fans who have always been there for me. Without their unending love and support, none of this would have been possible. I hope my fans will be thrilled to not only have a chance to own a piece of my history but also that of my mother and father—Judy Garland and Vincente Minnelli.”
Among the many items fans will be able to view are multiple custom-built Halston creations, Minnelli's leather-bound Cabaret shooting script, and one of Minnelli's costumes from her Oscar-winning performance as Sally Bowles.
The Paley Center is located at 465 N. Beverly Drive, at South Santa Monica Blvd. For more information about the exhibit, visit PaleyCenter.org.
