Liza Minnelli Will Sing at Bay Street Theatre's Benefit Honoring Joy Behar

News   Liza Minnelli Will Sing at Bay Street Theatre's Benefit Honoring Joy Behar
Bay Street Theatre's First Annual Honors Benefit will be presented April 30 at 6 PM at the Manhattan Penthouse, 80 5th Avenue.

Three of Bay Street’s board members, Joy Behar, Adrianne Cohen and John Downing, will be honored. Behar’s longtime friend, actor/comedienne Susie Essman (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”), and actor and Bay Street board member Richard Kind (“Spin City,” “Luck”) are among those who will pay tribute to the honorees at the event. The evening will be capped off by a performance by Liza Minnelli.

"Joy Behar, Adrianne Cohen and John Downing are the first to be honored in this way,” said executive director Tracy Mitchell in a statement. “Adrianne and John, both of whom have been with the theatre for over 20 years, work tirelessly on our behalf, along with Joy, who became a board member several years ago.”

"The passion and commitment that these board members give to us year after year, we couldn’t do it without them,” added artistic director Murphy Davis. “This is one small way we can say ‘thank you!’”

To reserve tickets, call Mary Ellen DiPrisco at (631) 725-0818, ext. 112.

* Bay Street Theatre is a "not-for-profit regional theater presenting new, classic and contemporary works, with a commitment to challenging and entertaining our diverse community."
