News London Hay Fever Cancels Previews Due to Judi Dench's Ill Health The April 6-8 performances of the new West End revival of Noel Coward's Hay Fever have been cancelled due to the ill health of the production's star, Judi Dench, it was announced.

The eliminated shows include those on April 6 at 7:45 PM, April 7 at 7:45 PM and April 8 at 3 and 7:45 PM. People who have purchased tickets for those shows have been instructed to contact their point of purchase. Dench is expected back on April 11.

Peter Hall directs the production, which is set to open April 19. Dench was last seen on the West End stage in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of All's Well That Ends Well at the Gielgud Theatre.

Playing opposite Dench’s Judith Bliss, Peter Bowles takes on the role of John Standing, her novelist husband.

Coward’s 1924 comedy of bad manners sees each of the Bliss family invite a guest for the weekend.
