The Lion King, the spectacular Disney musical directed by Julie Taymor at the Lyceum Theatre, is now taking bookings from July 2 to Sept. 29.
Tim Rice and Elton John's hugely successful stage adaptation of Disney's animated film has won six Tony Awards, was nominated for eight Olivier Awards, and is selling-out theatres the world over. The tale of Simba, the young lion prince, and his battle with his uncle Scar is presented in a modern and vibrant style.
The Lion King recently celebrated its second birthday (Oct. 19, 2001) and looks set to continue its successful run in the West End for a long time to come.
