News London Premiere of Molly Wobbly's Tit Factory Canceled The London premiere of Paul Boyd's musical Molly Wobbly's Tit Factory, which was due to begin performances Sept. 20 prior to an official opening Sept. 22 at Hackney Empire, was canceled Sept. 20 after its producers encountered cash flow problems.

Originally staged at the Lyric Theatre Belfast and subsequently at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year, it features a score of 22 original songs. In the show, the town of Little Happening gets an unexpected make-over when a devious and creepy stranger arrives on Mammary Lane promising personal improvement to three unhappy women. The composer and writer Paul Boyd was to have directed a cast that comprised Gary Wilmot (Malcolm), Sophie-Louise Dann (Margaret), David Hunter (Kitten), Shona White (Jemma), Conleth Kane (Jake), Stephanie Fearon (Ruth), Christopher Finn (Robbie) and Russell Morton (Ithanku).

Speaking to Playbill.com, Boyd commented, "We're trying to keep the ship afloat at the moment. We realized we had a serious problem last Thursday, and so we told the cast what was happening. On Friday afternoon we had a meeting and made a collective decision that it was for the benefit of the show not to open, rather than open and close quickly, damaging what had been a good reputation."
