A special concert celebrating the music of Stephen Sondheim will take place at London's Barbican Concert Hall on Sunday 17 May. The concert is in aid of The Alan Jay Lerner Fund for Research into Lung Cancer at The Royal Marsden Hospital. It's expected that joining The City of London Philharmonic will be Elaine Stritch, Len Cariou, Julia McKenzie, Maria Friedman, Jonathan Pryce, Cleo Laine, Ned Sherrin and a 100-Strong West End male voice choir (Note: all artistes appearing are subject to confirmation).

The concert is devised and directed by Hugh Woolridge and the musical directors are David Firman and Charles Prince.
