Each year the Society of London Theatres recruits 14 members of the general public to form part of the judging panel for the Laurence Olivier Awards.
There are four different panels you can apply for: Theatre, Opera, Dance and the Society's affiliate members — the Almeida; Hampstead Theatre; Lyric, Hammersmith; Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs; Tricycle Theatre and the Young Vic.
Panelists will receive a pair of complimentary tickets for all proposed productions between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2003.
Those interested in applying can use one of the leaflets currently found in West End theatres; by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Awards Office (P) SOLT, 32 Rose Street, London WC2E 9ET; or click here to visit the awards website.
Applicants are asked to list all the productions they have seen in the last 12 months and write a 150 word review of one, explaining why they think it should receive an award. Those professionally associated with the theatre are ineligible.
The deadline for applications is Nov. 15, 2002.
