News London's Barbican Theatre Announces Rules for Sale of Tickets to Hamlet, Starring Benedict Cumberbatch Tickets are not yet on sale for the 2015 production of Hamlet at London's Barbican Theatre that will star Benedict Cumberbatch, but the venue has already stated that "as we want to ensure fair access to tickets we have taken measures to help ensure that tickets are not resold on ticket resale websites and that you do not pay an inflated price for tickets."

To that end, they have additionally stated:

  • Ticket purchases will be limited to a maximum of six per household across all performances.
  • The name of the lead booker will be printed on each ticket and photo ID of the lead booker will be required to gain admission.
  • Failure to adhere to our Terms and Conditions of sale may result in tickets not being valid for entry.
Priority online and telephone booking will be available for Barbican Centre members from Aug. 1 (for "red" members) and Aug. 4 (for "orange" members). General onsale date is Aug. 11.
