As a result of (almost unanimously) excellent reviews, Adrian Noble's production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium has extended its booking period to March 15, 2003.
Chitty's star is a machine — a car that really does seem to fly. This seems appropriate, given that the author of the original Chitty story was Ian Fleming, better-known for his series of James Bond stories, which tended to feature high-tech cars and other gadgets.
It looks as if Chitty is flying towards a fortune, and the extension to March 2003 may be the first of many.
