International News London's Hamilton Finds Its Star in Jamael Westman The British actor will play the title role in the West End engagement of the Tony- and Pulitzer-winning musical.

Recent Royal Academy of Dramatic Art graduate Jamael Westman will take on the title role in the West End production of Hamilton, according to Baz Bamigboye of The Daily Mail. The London staging begins performances November 21 at the Victoria Palace Theatre prior to an official opening December 7.

Additionally, Olivier Award nominee Michael Jibson will play King George III. At certain performances, the role of Alexander Hamilton will be played by Ash Hunter.

The three join the previously announced Rachelle Ann Go (currently in Miss Saigon on Broadway) as Eliza Hamilton, Rachel John as Angelica Schuyler, Christine Allado as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds, Giles Terera as Aaron Burr, Obioma Ugoala as George Washington, Tarinn Callender as Hercules Mulligan and James Madison, Jason Pennycooke as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, and Cleve September as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton.

Also newly added to the cast are Jade Albertsen, Curtis Angus, Jonathan Bishop, Courtney-Mae Briggs, Jack Butterworth, Jon-Scott Clark, Kelly Downing, Leslie Garcia Bowman, Lia Given, Gregory Haney, Leah Hill, Barney Hudson, Waylon Jacobs, Miriam-Teak Lee, Phoebe Liberty, Alexzandra Sarmiento, Marsha Songcome, Christopher Tendai, and Lindsey Tierney.

Prior to graduating from RADA, Westman appeared in Stop Kiss at Leicester Square Theatre.
