The Woman In Black, now in its 12th year, has announced a new booking period at the Fortune Theatre covering performances until June 1, 2002.

Adapted by Stephen Mallatratt from Susan Hill's best-selling novel, the two-man thriller recreates a fateful visit to an old house at the end of a causeway - cut off each evening by the tide - where a young solicitor has to sort out the estate of the house's deceased owner.

Over 2.5 million people have been to see this terrifying (there are moments when the audience literally scream) West End hit, which opened at the Strand Theatre in February 1989 before moving to the Fortune Theatre, where it has been since June 1989.

Fortune Theatre Box Office: 020 7836 2238.
