A common cure for stage fright is imagining the audience in their underwear. Come November 11, the cast of London’s upcoming revival of Hair won’t have to do much imagining.

The Vaults’ production of the 1967 musical will offer a “clothing optional” performance November 11 at 10 PM. This means that not only will the tribe shed their garb during the show’s stirring Act I finale, but also theatregoers will be invited to do the same for the performance.

Participants should bring a bag or carrier for their clothes and shoes—which house management will store—plus a towel or sarong to sit on during the performance. Staff members reserve the right to restrict access to anyone practicing a lack of “suitable self-control.”

The 50th anniversary production, a transfer of the Hope Mill Theatre production from 2016 in Manchester, will begin performances at the London venue October 4 prior to an official opening October 10. Performances are scheduled to run through January 14, 2018.

Jonathan O’Boyle will direct a cast that includes Daniel Bailey, Adam Dawson, Laura Johnson, Jessie May, Robert Metson, Liam Ross-Mills, and Koryann Stevens.
