David Lan, the Young Vic's artistic director, announced the theatre's new season at a press conference Dec. 9.
Referring to each Young Vic season as a theatrical bus ride through different cultures, countries and times, and celebrating the Young Vic as a multi/trans/poly cultural theatre in Lambeth, Lan lined up the forthcoming shows:
Red Demon by Hideki Noda, Jan. 31 to Feb.
Simply Heavenly by Langston Hughes, March 7 to April 12
Peribanez by Lope de Vega, May 1 to June 7
Hobson's Choice by Harold Brighouse, June 26 to Aug. 9
More details on each individual play will follow nearer the time.
