The highly anticipated stage adaptation of Moulin Rouge!, directed by Alex Timbers, which officially opened at Boston’s Emerson Colonial Theatre August 3, concludes its run August 19; a Broadway bow is expected to follow.

The musical, based on the film of the same name, features original songs (including the Golden Globe-nominated “Come What May”) and pop standards. New to the score are songs released in the 17 years since the film’s premiere. Tony winner John Logan pens the book, with Sonya Tayeh choreographing, and Justin Levine serving as music supervisor and orchestrator.
