Written by Todd Kreidler and directed by Leon, Holler If Ya Hear Me featured slam poet, actor, singer, and musician Saul Williams as John with Christopher Jackson as Vertus, Saycon Sengbloh as Corinne, Ben Thompson as Griffy, John Earl Jelks as Street Preacher, Joshua Boone as Darius, Dyllon Burnside as Anthony, and Tonya Pinkins as Mrs. Weston.

The show was scored with the music of Tupac Shakur who died September 13, 1996 — six days after being shot during a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. With millions of records sold before and after his murder at the age of 25, he remains one of the genre's most iconic figures.
