News Look Busy: Scramble! Begins Westport Run July 9 David Wiltse's Scramble! – a tale of office hysteria – begins performances at the Westport Country Playhouse July 9.

Tracy Brigden directs a cast including Rebecca Harris (Enter the Night), Tom Beckett (Turn of the Screw), Candy Buckley (Bernarda Alba), Colin McPhillamy (Sedition), Jennifer Mudge (Dutchman) and Matthew Rauch (Prelude to a Kiss). Scramble! will run through July 26.

Westport playwright in residence Wiltse – who previously offered Westport audiences Marriage Minuet and Sedition – penned the new comedy for the Connecticut theatre.

"It's a normal day as deadlines are frantically met in the offices of a local golf magazine until a rumor panics the staff that their publication is being sold to a corporation," press notes for Scramble! state. "A new hire comes into the office and everyone suspects him of being the 'hatchetman,' a businessman brought in to decide whether or not staff members are pulling their weight. With their jobs on the line, mass hysteria breaks out. In the meantime, office politics are magnified by outlandish office relationships and mistaken identities. Love triangles quickly become love quadrangles as all the characters end up in intimate situations for all the wrong reasons, and in some instances, with all the wrong people. In the end, they scramble desperately to uncover their stories, their lovers and their cubicles."

Designing the production are Jeff Cowie (set design), Ilona Somogyi (costume design), Ben Stanton (lighting design), Eric Shim (sound design) and Mark Olsen (movement coach).
