News Loomer's Distracted, With Cynthia Nixon, Gets an Added Week in NYC Roundabout Theatre Company announced Feb. 12 that its New York City premiere of Lisa Loomer's play about modern parenting, Distracted, will get a one-week extension, now to May 10.

Tony Award winner Cynthia Nixon stars in — and Mark Brokaw directs — the comedy about a mother seeking answers about her son. Distracted will open March 4 at Off-Broadway's Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). The cast of Distracted features Peter Benson, Shana Dowdeswell, Lisa Emery, Natalie Gold, Matthew Gumley, Mimi Lieber, Aleta Mitchell, Nixon and Josh Stamberg.

Distracted is billed as "a fast-paced and disarmingly funny look at parenting in the age of the Internet and Ritalin. In this New York premiere, a contemporary American mom reaches out to teachers, psychotherapists, and neighbors to figure out if Attention Deficit Disorder is the root of her son's problems."

Tickets are available by calling Roundabout Ticket Services at (212)719-1300, online at www.roundabouttheatre.org or at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre box office (111 West 46 Street).
