His most recent stage credit was as Marcus Hoff in The Big Knife. Lerner has appeared in 39 movies and many TV programs, including "The Story of Us," "Godzilla," "Chicago Hope," "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Happy Days."

In Loonacy!, Rudy Keck and Sy Delp have retreated to a cabin in the country where they'll write the biography of their recently-deceased mentor, E. Paul Banks. Unfortunately, neither has any ability to write, and neither can agree on the details of Bank's life. Rudy fights for control; Sy gets depressed and both have way too much access to a shotgun.

The former artistic director of New York City's Washington Market Playhouse, he has helmed A View From the Bridge (with Burt Young), Detective Story (Drama-Logue winner), Small Craft Warnings and The Hostage.
