Kaye, who previously played the role at the Old Globe Theatre in 2010, reprises her performance in the ATC run under the direction of Samantha K. Wyer. Performances will run through March 19 in Tucson, followed by a March 24-April 10 engagement in Phoenix.
The cast also features Kate Goehring (Bella), Preston Maybank (Louie), Kerry McCue (Gert), Spencer Rowe (Eddie), Ryan DeLuca (Jay) and Maxx Carlisle-King (Arty).
Lost in Yonkers has set design by Michael Schweikardt, lighting design by David Lee Cuthbert, costume design by David Kay Mickelsen and sound design by Brian Jerome Peterson.
Kaye earned a Tony Award for her performance as Carlotta in the original New York production of The Phantom of the Opera. She received Tony nominations for her work in Souvenir and Mamma Mia!.
Lost in Yonkers, according to ATC, "tells the story of a family coping with the challenges of keeping together during World War II and the struggles to balance love with tough times. Grandma Kurnitz is the matriarch with a will of iron and a hardwood cane who spared no rod in raising her four children. When her two teenage grandsons are forced by circumstances to live with her for a year, the clash of generations and battle of wills leads the whole family to learn important lessons about Love, duty, devotion, and trust."
