NCT has produced in Raleigh's 2,300-seat Memorial Auditorium since 1984, under the leadership of William Jones, executive director and producer. Productions are created for North Carolina audiences using Equity talent from New York, North Carolina and across the country. Lou Diamond Phillips (internationally known for the movie, "La Bamba") played the King in the Broadway revival of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic in the 1995-96 season. He was Tony Award-nominated for his work.
The rest of the 2004 season at NCT includes Norm Lewis in Ragtime, Sept. 11-19, and the musical Jekyll & Hyde Sept. 23-31.
Chess and My Fair Lady were presented earlier in 2004.
