Following a five-show run as part of the MCC Theatre "Theater For Thought" series last year, the work performs at the downtown space Mondays at 8 PM now through June 26 (originally slated through April 30, it previously extended through May 21).

Gordon Greenberg directs Morris in his Assisted Loving in which he attempts to find new love for his suddenly-single and 80-year-old father. Rachelle Garniez accompanies on piano and accordion.

The "Age of Dissonance" column scribe, whose work appears in The New York Times Sunday Styles section, also appears on NPR's "All Things Considered" and has written for The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Vogue, Travel and Leisure. He is the playwright-in-residence at the Jewish Repertory Theatre and has penned other works for the theatre and two picture books "Crispin the Terrible" and "Delia at the Delano."

Director Greenberg staged the Off-Broadway run of Stephen Sislen and Ben H. Winters' new musical Slut and the Off-Broadway revival of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.
