LaCause (Rocky in Broadway's The Rocky Horror Show) plays Ramon in the ruminative comedy about a community of gay friends in the age of AIDS.
Glenn Krutoff directs a cast that includes Gary Cowling, Sebastian LaCause, John Lederer, Collin McGee, Kenneth John McGregor, Peter Sloan and Terry Wynne.
McNally's 1995 Tony Award-winning play follows "eight gay men over three summer weekends at the upstate New York house of a celebrated dancer-choreographer who fears he is losing his creativity and possibly his lover," according to production notes. "Infidelity, flirtations, soul-searching, AIDS, truth-telling and skinny-dipping mix monumental questions about life and death with a wacky dress rehearsal for Swan Lake performed in drag."
The creative team includes Laura Martin (choreographer); Anne Allen Goelz (set and graphic designer); David Kaley (costume designer); Andrea Boccanfuso (lighting designer); Jody Dobson (sound designer).
Performances play Thursday through Saturday at 8 PM with matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 3 PM at The Gloria Maddox Theatre at the T. Schreiber Studio, 151 W. 26th St., 7th Floor (between Sixth and Seventh Avenues). There will be no performance on Thanksgiving Day.
