Classic Arts News Lucerne Festival Piano Announces 2005 Lineup The Lucerne Festival Piano next month will include recitals by Emanuel Ax, Mikhail Pletnev, and Radu Lupu, the festival announced.
The festival, which runs November 22-27, is an eight-year-old offshoot of the famous Lucerne Summer Festival. The festival also produces an Easter Festival in April.

Other pianists scheduled to appear include Arcadi Volodos, Fazil Say, Angela Hewitt, Thomas Larcher, and Jean-Yves Thibaudet. Pierre-Laurent Aimard will appear with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, led by Daniel Harding.

Other piano performances will take place in bars and hotels throughout Lucerne.
