News Luhrmann to Receive Satellite's Auteur Award for "Australia" "Australia" director Baz Luhrmann will be honored by the International Press Association with the Auteur Award as part of the 13th annual Satellite Awards.

Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman star in the epic that earned nine Satellite nominations, including Best Original Screenplay and a host of technical award nominations. George Clooney will present Luhrmann with the Auter Award at the Satellite Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles on Dec. 14. Luhrmann's films include "Strictly Ballroom," "Romeo + Juliet" and "Moulin Rouge!" He earned a Tony nomination for his 2003 Broadway production of La Bohème.
