News LuPone, Rebeck, Radio Golf Among Nominations for New England Awards Patti LuPone, Theresa Rebeck and the late August Wilson's play Radio Golf are among the nominees for the Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards, which will be given out March 19 at 8 PM at the Boston Center for the Arts.

Patti LuPone was nominated for Best Solo Performance for Lady With the Torch for the Reagle Players. Radio Golf and Rebeck's Mauritius, both at the Huntington Theatre Company, were the two nominees for Best New Play, Large.

Radio Golf also received nominations for Anthony Chisholm and Eugene Lee in the Supporting Actor, Drama or Comedy category and Hassan El-Amin in the Best Actor, Drama or Comedy category.

Other local shows racking up multiple nominations include Rabbit Hole at the Huntington; The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Wilbur; North Shore Music Theatre's productions of Hairspray, Jesus Christ Superstar and Ain't Misbehavin'; A.R.T.'s No Exit; the Reagle Players' Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie and The Will Rogers Follies; and SpeakEasy's Caroline, or Change and Five By Tenn.

Altar Boyz, Forbidden Broadway: Special Victims Unit, Importance of Being Earnest, Spamalot, Wicked and Twelve Angry Men were nominated for Best Visiting Production, Large.
