News Lyn Paul Will Play Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers Lyn Paul, who first came to fame as a member of the pop group The New Seekers, and who more recently co-starred in Boy George musical Taboo at the Venue, is to co-star as Mrs. Johnstone, the mother of two doomed twins, in Blood Brothers at the Phoenix Theatre.

This is a role that she first played in 1997 and reprised earlier this year, for a week, so when she rejoins the company on Sept. 1, for a six-month contract, she will certainly feel at home.

Willy Russell's Blood Brothers is one of the longest-running musicals in the West End, where it was first seen (at the Lyric) in 1985. A second production, at the Albery in 1988, was more successful, and it transferred, in the early 1990s, to the Phoenix, where it has remained ever since. The show has also been seen on tour internationally, and on Broadway, where it ran for three years.
