News   Lynn Cohen and Jake Robards Will Head Cast of Off-Broadway's Eavesdropping On Dreams
Lynn Cohen and Jake Robards will head the cast of the world premiere of Rivka Bekerman-Greenberg's Eavesdropping On Dreams, which will begin previews April 20 at the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre.

Presented by Barefoot Theatre Company, the production will officially open April 27.

Ronald Cohen will direct a company that also features Stephanie Roth Haberle, Aidan Koehler and Christopher Whalen.

Eavesdropping, according to press notes, concerns "three generations of women in one family and their struggles with coming to terms with the aftermath of the Holocaust. Shaina Eberkohn, a 25 year-old medical student, searches for clues about her family’s lost history. Her mother, who is paralyzed by her own demons, adamantly opposes Shaina's obsession. And Shaina’s grandmother, a survivor of the Lodz ghetto and Auschwitz, refuses to help. All three women are caught in a spider’s web comprised of vague memories, distant emotions and nightmarish dreams. As they struggle to make sense of it all, they uncover a harrowing secret that unlocks their mysterious past."

The design team comprises Niluka Hotaling (set design), Eric Nightengale (lighting design), Victoria Malvagno (costume design), Adam Stone (sound design), Adam Dalton (graphic design) and Matthew Lutz (production stage manager).

The Cherry Lane Studio Theatre is located at 38 Commerce Street. Tickets are $35; $25 for students/seniors (with valid ID), and can be purchased by calling (212) 352-3101 or online at
