Part of the 92nd Street Y's acclaimed "Lyrics & Lyricists" series, Comes Once in a Lifetime: Betty Comden & Adolph Green will feature the talents of Walter Charles, Eugene Fleming, Beth Leavel, Paige Price, Jim Walton and Kimberly Jajuan. Paul Trueblood, who is the artistic director of the concerts, will also be featured at the piano as will music director Dennis Buck. Ralph Howard hosts. Artistic director Trueblood spent 20 years as musical director for Comden and Green's Broadway and touring show A Party with Comden and Green. His two-act tribute to the writers will feature both their well- and lesser-known works. Concertgoers can expect to hear such tunes as "On the Town," "Christopher Street," "Just in Time," "A Little Bit in Love," "100 Easy Ways to Lose a Man" and "Never, Never Land."

Betty Comden and the late Adolph Green wrote the book and/or lyrics for On the Town; Bells Are Ringing; On the Twentieth Century; Wonderful Town; Hallelujah, Baby!; Applause; Peter Pan; A Doll's Life; Do Re Mi and The Will Rogers Follies. Comden and Green’s films include "Singin’ in the Rain" and "The Band Wagon," and they were both awarded the Kennedy Center Honors in 1991.
