News Ma and Pa Peterson Go it Alone May 6 at Ars Nova The Petersons, the "family band" that's not really a family, and as much a band as they are a theatrical troupe, will offer a splintered version of themselves May 6 at Ars Nova.

The event, called An Intimate Evening With Mr. and Mrs. Peterson, will feature only Adam Stein and Keira Naughton of the five-person group. Of the other three members, Matt Saldivar, who plays Julio, is the most famously occupied: he plays Stephen Lynch's dim band pal in the Broadway musical The Wedding Singer. As for the others, Pete Simpson, who plays Pete, is busy working with the Blue Man Group, and Evan Robertson, who plays Father Tom, is tied up with fatherhood and working on the mixing of the new Petersons CD, due later in the spring.

The fictitious clan claims to come from upstate New York. The Petersons have previously performed at the Sh-K-Boom Room's summer series at The Zipper Theatre and at Joe's Pub. Each performance is a hybrid of a concert, a play and a family argument, and often features surprise guests at their shows; past guests include Tony winner James Naughton, Keira's dad, Naughton family friend Paul Newman, John Cameron Mitchell, Ben Shenkman and Michael C. Hall.

The concert is at 9 PM. Tickets are $15. Call for reservations at (212) 539-8778.
