News Macbeth's Alan Cumming Among Winners at 2013 Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland Alan Cumming, who stars in his one-man adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth on Broadway, was among the artists to take home the 2013 Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland.

The eleventh annual CATS, for the year 2012–13, were announced June 9 in a ceremony at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh. The guest presenter was John Byrne.

Cumming received the award for Best Male Performance, and actress Blythe Duff received the award for Best Female Performance for her work in Iron.

Cumming, who won a Tony Award for his performance in Cabaret — which has plans to return to Broadway in 2014 — has also been seen on Broadway in Threepenny Opera and Design for Living.
