It will begin performances Feb. 9, prior to an official opening Feb. 14, for a run through April 14. Also in the cast are Nancy Carroll, Mark Gatiss, Gawn Grainger, Tobias Menzies and Rachael Stirling.

In the play, written in 1706, Captain Plume is recruiting the men of Shrewsbury for the King’s army, with the promise of money, glory and adventure. He's also determined to make a conquest of Sylvia, but as she's now an heiress she can afford to put him to the test. All the while, the scheming Melinda is toying with the affections of Captain Brazen and the gentleman Mr. Worthy.

Crook, who plays Sergeant Kite, has also previously appeared in The Seagull both in London and on Broadway and One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest (West End). He is best known for his TV role in "The Office," and his film credits include "Pirates of the Caribbean."

Carroll, who plays Sylvia, received last year's Best Actress Award at both the Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for her performance in After the Dance at the National Theatre, where her other credits include The Enchantment, Man of Mode and The Voysey Inheritance. Elsewhere, she has appeared at the Almeida, RSC, Bush and the West End.

Gatiss, who plays Captain Brazen, was last seen on the London stage in Season's Greetings at the National. He is best known as part of the League of Gentlemen comedy troupe, for whom he has appeared onstage, on television and film. Grainger, who plays Mr. Balance, was previously seen at the Donmar in Tales from Hollywood and Fool for Love. His recent theatre work includes appearances at the National Theatre in A Woman Killed With Kindness; Really Old, Like 45; Some Trace of Her and The Seagull.

Menzies, who plays Captain Plume, was recently seen in Headlong's production of Decade at St Katharine's Dock. Other theatre credits include The Children's Hour (Comedy Theatre). His TV credits include starring as Marcus Junius Brutus in the epic series "Rome."

Stirling, who plays Melinda, has appeared on the London stage in An Ideal Husband (Vaudeville), The Priory (Royal Court) and Theatre of Blood (National Theatre). TV credits include "Women in Love" and "Tipping the Velvet."
