News "Mad Men" Actor Vincent Kartheiser Will Be Mr. Darcy in Guthrie's Pride and Prejudice Vincent Kartheiser, best known for playing advertising executive Pete Campbell in the hit AMC series "Mad Men," will star as Mr. Darcy in the Guthrie Theater production of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

Adapted for the stage by Simon Reade and directed by Joe Dowling, Price and Prejudice will begin previews July 6 towards a July 12 opening night. The run will continue through Aug. 31.

Kartheiser previously appeared at the Guthrie in Henry V and Henry IV. He made his debut there at the age of seven as Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol.

Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

According to the Guthrie, "Pride and Prejudice tells the story of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy in 19th-century England; it has proven to have evergreen appeal to all generations with its depiction of manners, marriage and morality."
