News "Mad Men" Ad Man to Star in Premiere of The Main(e) Play in NYC Michael Gladis, recently of AMC's acclaimed television series "Mad Men," will star in an upcoming world premiere staging of Chad Beckim's The Main(e) Play in New York City.

Partial Comfort Productions presents the work slated to begin Jan. 16, 2008 and open Jan. 23 at The Lion Theater for a run through Feb. 9. Robert O'Hara directs. The Main(e) Play centers on "the colliding worlds of two brothers: Shane, a New York City actor desperate to connect to the sanctity of home, and his younger brother Roy, a single stay-at-home dad and sole caretaker of a dysfunctional seven year-old. A return to Maine for Thanksgiving forces the brothers to confront the loss of tradition, raising the question: what happens when what was, is no longer?"

Gladis, who portrays ad-man Paul Kinsey on "Mad Men." will be joined in the cast by Alexander Alioto, Susan Dahl, Curran Connor and Allyson Morgan.

The design team includes Caleb Levengood (sets), Jason Jeunnette (lighting), Whitney Locher (costumes) and Daniel Odham (sound).

Playwright Beckim has also penned …a matter of choice, 'nami and Lights Rise on Grace — the latter earned the Outstanding Play award at the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival and was a finalist for the 2007 Princess Grace Award.

Director O'Hara earened a 2006 Obie Award for his staging of In The Continuum. Other credits include Lights Rise on Grace, Insurrection: Holding and American Ma(u)l.
