News Mamet Play Breaks West End Box-Office Records David Mamet's play at the Comedy Theatre has broken West End box office records.

According to industry newspaper The Stage, Mamet's Sexual Perversity in Chicago has broken box-office records for advance sales for a straight play. The cast is headed by Matthew Perry and Minnie Driver, supported by Kelly Reilly and Hank Azaria.

Mamet's four-hander has taken £1.25 million at the box office. This is believed to be marginally above the figure taken by David Hare's The Breath of Life, which set the previous record of £1 million plus.

Sexual Perversity in Chicago is produced by Mark Rubinstein, Old Vic Productions and Sonia Friedman.
