News Mamma Mia! Celebrates Third Vegas Anniversary Feb. 23 The Las Vegas production of Mamma Mia! — at the Mandalay Bay Theatre — celebrates its third anniversary Feb. 23. The ABBA-scored musical, the most successful full-scale Broadway production ever to play the Vegas strip, has played over 1,200 performances at the Nevada venue.

The Vegas production of the international hit musical opened in February 2003. Its current cast features Carol Linnea Johnson, Robin Baxter, Vicki Van Tassel, Rick Negron, Robert DuSold and Patrick Sarb.

To celebrate the show's third anniversary, the producers of Mamma Mia! are donating one dollar from every ticket sold during the month of February to the Nevada Cancer Institute.

Featuring music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and a book by Catherine Johnson, the creative team for Mamma Mia! includes Anthony Van Laast (choreography), Mark Thompson (production design), Howard Harrison (lighting design), Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken (sound design) and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.

Mamma Mia! continues to play to sell-out crowds at Broadway's Cadillac Winter Garden Theatre. Song titles include "Dancing Queen," "Knowing Me, Knowing You," "Money, Money, Money," "S.O.S.," "The Name of the Game" and "The Winner Takes it All."
