News Mamma Mia! Recording Goes Platinum The original cast recording of Mamma Mia! has been certified platinum according to the Recording Industry Association of America.

To achieve platinum status, a recording must sell one-million units. The Decca Broadway recording of the Benny Andersson-Bjorn Ulvaeus score has been the best-selling cast album for the past three years in the United States and is the most successful cast recording of this century. In a statement Universal Classics Group Chairman Chris Roberts said, "Decca Broadway and Universal Classics Group are thrilled with the continued success of Mamma Mia!, and are proud to be a part of this incredible phenomenon." The original cast recording of Mamma Mia! features Lisa Stokke as Sophie Sheridan, Siobhán McCarthy as Donna Sheridan, Louise Plowright as Tanya, Jenny Galloway as Rosie, Andrew Langtree as Sky, Paul Clarkson as Harry Bright and Hilton McRae as Sam Carmichael. Song titles include "Honey, Honey," "Money, Money, Money," "Thank You for the Music," "Mamma Mia," "Chiquitta," "Dancing Queen," "Lay All Your Love On Me," "Super Trouper," "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!," "The Name of the Game," "Voulez-Vous," "Under Attack," "One of Us," "S.O.S.," "Does Your Mother Know," "Knowing Me, Knowing You," "Our Last Summer," "Slipping Through My Fingers," "The Winner Takes It All," "Take a Chance on Me," "I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" and "I Have a Dream."

Mamma Mia! continues to play Broadway's Winter Garden. The musical celebrated its 1,000th performance there March 4.
