Carolee Carmello, Liz McCartney and Judy McLane will lead the Mamma Mia! ensemble in the hit ABBA anthem "Dancing Queen," which will be part of the annual lighting ceremony. WCBS 2 in New York will broadcast the event from 7-8 PM ET; check local listings. The "Snowflake chandelier" is a 16-foot work that features 12,000 crystals. Stage and screen star Sarah Jessica Parker will light the chandelier, which graces the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street. The broadcast will also feature performances by the Young People's Chorus of New York City and the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Unicef Goodwill Ambassador Sir Roger Moore, actor Barry Bostwick and singers India.Arie and Wyclef Jean will also be part of the television special.
Mamma Mia! features music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, a book by Catherine Johnson, direction by Phyllida Lloyd and choreography by Anthony Van Laast.
