Presented by the New York Musical Theatre Festival and Speak Productions, Fairies is based on the award-winning short film of the same name that has played in over 75 international film festivals. The cast for the readings — which will be held at 3 and 7 PM — includes Mamma Mia!'s Judy McLane and Urinetown's Peter Reardon as well as the previously announced Wendy Robie, Mike Cannon, Robb Sapp, Karen DiConecetto, Steve Morgan, Edward Prostak, Darryl Winslow, Luz Lor, Becky Barta, Tina Stafford, Tedman Rapp, Justin Stoney and Jeffery Dinan. Fairies features a book by Thomas Gustafson and Cory Krueckeberg, music by Jessica Fogle and lyrics by Shakespeare and Krueckeberg.

The Fairies screenplay, according to production notes, is described as a "musical dream come true. Struggling with his homophobic community, Timothy's spirit soars when his eccentric teacher casts him in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Upon discovering the love potion within Midsummer, Timothy puckishly begins to turn his closed-minded town gay. Within the chaos, Timothy commands the love he desires and deserves, but, after reluctantly returning the free will he has stolen, he is surprised by what remains."

TBG Theatre is located at 312 West 36th Street on the third floor. Tickets, priced at $15, are available by calling (212) 352-3101. Visit www.nymf.org for more information.
