The managing director of NJ's George Street Theatre, Tom Werder, has announced that he will be resigning at the end of the 1998-99 to pursue other interests. No replacement has been chosen.

The managing director of NJ's George Street Theatre, Tom Werder, has announced that he will be resigning at the end of the 1998-99 to pursue other interests. No replacement has been chosen. Werder began at The George in 1997, after a tenure as Portland Stage's managing director. Along with his responsibilities at The George Street, Werder was on the League of Resident Theatre's Executive Committee, as well as on the LORT/Actor's Equity Association Negotiating Committee, representing LORT "C" theatres.
