The managing director of NJ's George Street Theatre, Tom Werder, has announced that he will be resigning at the end of the 1998-99 to pursue other interests. No replacement has been chosen. Werder began at The George in 1997, after a tenure as Portland Stage's managing director. Along with his responsibilities at The George Street, Werder was on the League of Resident Theatre's Executive Committee, as well as on the LORT/Actor's Equity Association Negotiating Committee, representing LORT "C" theatres.
