Mandy Gonzalez, who took over the role of Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton and who has appeared on Broadway in Wicked and In the Heights, will make her venue debut at the Manhattan nightclub Café Carlyle with the new show Mandy Gonzalez: Fearless!, 8:45 PM October 24–28 and October 31–November 4.
The booking coincides with the release of her debut album, Fearless, whose title song was written by Hamilton composer Lin-Manuel Miranda. The album also features original songs by Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, If/Then), Bill Sherman (orchestrator of In the Heights), and Jennifer Nettles.
Gonzalez is best known for her portrayal of Nina Rosario in In the Heights, for which she received a Drama Desk Award. The new jukebox musical featuring the songs of Huey Lewis and the News follows a Chicagoan whose failed band leads to him returning to corporate America.
