News Mandy Moore and Shoshana Bean Will Be Part of Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, Featuring Song Cycle By Scott Alan The 21st Annual Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, hosted by Mario Cantone, will be held Feb. 7 at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

The evening will feature a song cycle — utilizing the tunes of New York composer-lyricist Scott Alan — about a couple living with HIV. Mandy Moore and Shoshana Bean will be featured.

Trini Garza and Brandon Alameda are the creative directors for the performance.

The Gala, benefiting the Desert AIDS Project, will begin with a silent auction at 5:30 PM followed by dinner and the show at 7 PM. An afterparty will conclude the night at 9 PM.

Awards will be presented to Dr. Michael Stuart Gottlieb (Science and Medicine Award), Helene Galen (100 Women Award) and Dave Morgan (Partners for Life Award).

Desert AIDS Project "provides medical care and comprehensive support services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the desert community. Often referred to as an AIDS Services Organization, Desert AIDS Project provides testing, treatment, counseling, transportation, housing and financial assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS."
