Patinkin, a Tony Award winner for Evita, and opera star Gunn (Carousel, Camelot) are joined by Patinkin's frequent collaborator, pianist Paul Ford, as well as Gunn's wife, concert pianist Julie Gunn, during the four-concert tour that is produced by John Frost, Phil Bathols and Opera Australia.

Here's how the evening is billed: "The eclectic programme features solos and duets – songs from musicals as well as a selection of opera, traditional folk and pop."

Engagements are also planned for the ASB Theatre in Auckland (Nov. 24), the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall (Nov. 26) and the QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane (Nov. 28).

Patinkin earned a Tony Award for his performance as Che in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita and was nominated in 1984 for his starring role in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George. His numerous stage appearances also include The Secret Garden, The Tempest, Falsettos, Paradise Found, Leave It to Beaver is Dead, Hamlet, Trelawney of the 'Wells,' The Shadow Box, The Split and Savages. Among his screen credits are "Yentl," "The Princess Bride," "Dick Tracy," "Homeland," "Chicago Hope," "Criminal Minds" and "Dead Like Me." He was last seen on Broadway in An Evening With Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin.

Gunn has appeared in Camelot and Carousel with the New York Philharmonic (both broadcast on PBS) and Show Boat at Carnegie Hall and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. He also appeared in the New York Philharmonic's 80th birthday gala celebration for Stephen Sondheim and appeared with the orchestra in an evening of Broadway classics with Kelli O’Hara.
