The new work features direction and choreography by multiple Tony winner Susan Stroman with music direction by Paul Ford.

"It’s the end of the world as we know it," press notes state. "A flood of biblical proportions leaves us with only two people on Earth, who discover their common language is song and dance. Together they chronicle the rise and fall, and hopeful rise again of humankind, through music that runs the gamut from Rodgers & Hammerstein and Stephen Sondheim all the way to R.E.M. and Queen."

This fully staged workshop presentation "gives audiences an opportunity to be part of the discovery process as these artists continue to fine tune a remarkable new music theater piece," according to the Arts Center.

Tony winner Patinkin’s Broadway credits include Evita, Sunday in the Park With George, The Secret Garden and The Wild Party. He currently appears in the Showtime series "Homeland."

Mac is a playwright, actor, singer-songwriter, cabaret performer, performance artist, and sometime director and producer.

The workshop is part of the Abrons Art Center's recently announced 2013-14 season. Abrons Arts Center is located at 466 Grand Street, on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Tickets can be purchased by calling (212) 352-3101 or visiting www.abronsartscenter.org.
