Tony Award winner Mandy Patinkin brings his all-Stephen Sondheim concert to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts June 18.

Patinkin, who starred on Broadway in Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George, brings his latest one-man show to the Kennedy Center's Sondheim Celebration from June 18 to June 30. With Paul Ford at the piano, Patinkin will offer a 90-minute program dedicated to the works of the composer of Company, Merrily We Roll Along, Into the Woods, Passion, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, Follies, Assassins, Anyone Can Whistle and A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum.

A Tony winner for his work in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita, Patinkin has also starred on Broadway in The Secret Garden, Sunday in the Park with George (Tony nomination), Falsettos, The Shadow Box, Trelawny of the "Wells" and, most recently, The Wild Party (Tony nom.).

According to Patinkin's official website, the actor-singer plans to record an all-Sondheim CD this year and hopes to bring his personal Sondheim tribute to The Great White Way. As of press time, Patinkin's Sondheim recital at the Kennedy Center will include the following songs:

Performance dates and times follow: June 18 at 7:30 PM, June 19 at 7:30 PM, June 21 at 7:30 PM (sold out), June 22 at 7:30 PM (sold out), June 23 at 2:30 PM, June 25 at 7:30 PM, June 26 at 7:30 PM, June 28 at 7:30 PM, June 29 at 7:30 PM (sold out) and June 30 at 2:30 PM (sold out). Tickets are priced at $50 and can be purchased by calling (800) 444-1324. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is located in Washington, D.C., at 2700 F. Street.

Patinkin's concert is part of this summer's much-in-the-news Sondheim Celebration, which features full productions of six classic Sondheim musicals. Sunday in the Park with George, Company and Sweeney Todd are currently playing in repertory, and July will see the openings of Passion, Merrily We Roll Along and A Little Night Music.
