News Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab Will Launch New Season with The Dirty Hippie Jam Band; Cast Announced Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab, which was founded as Musical Mondays Theatre Lab by Bick Goss in 2005, will kick off its new season Oct. 24 at 5 PM with The Dirty Hippie Jam Band, the musical's third showing at the developmental not-for-profit organization.

The new musical has book and lyrics by Daniel Israel and Pheobe Kreutz and book by Rob Ackerman.

The presentation will feature Aaron LaVigne, Tom Michael Allen, Courtney Cape, Mick Bonde, Courtney Capek, Jennifer Johnson, Sandie Rosa and Colin Summers.

The Dirty Hippie Jam Band, according to press notes, concerns a group of modern-day hippies who follow "their favorite band, Liquid Brick, around the country. All is good in the land of 'Brick' until an outsider arrives and disrupts the groove."

The season will continue Dec. 12 with The Curse of Batvia; Jan. 16, 2014, with Water from the Moon; and Feb. 20 with Curious and Rare.
